What are the Hotmail.com POP3 server settings?
Hotmail supports IMAP, POP3 and SMTP protocols. Hotmail servers (POP3 and SMTP) use SSL.
The Hotmail (Windows Live) POP3 server settings are:
POP3 Incoming Mail Servers.
Hotmail POP server address: pop-mail.outlook.com
Hotmail POP user name: Your Outlook.com email address.
Hotmail POP Password: Your Outlook.com password.
Hotmail POP port: 995
Hotmail POP Encryption method: SSL
Hotmail POP TLS/SSL encryption required: yes
POP access must be turned on. Click the “Gear Icon”, then choose “Options”.
In the “POP options” part, choose “Yes”.
SMTP Outgoing Mail Servers.
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
SSL: true-explicit
Port: 587 (default)
Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
Requires Authentication: Yes
Hotmail POP3 Server Settings.
I still can’t get messages by Mail (Version 2.1.3.) for MAC OS X 10.4.11 where pop-mail.outlook.com port 110. Because it requires password, despite of inserting the correct one. Nevertheless I can sending letters with the same password for smtp-mail.outlook.com port 587.
